NHRTC is happy to announce that Deborah Reyes is campaigning for Alder inWard 13. Reyes has spent most of her life in the city and is disappointed to see what is happening to it. The crime, shootings, high taxes and lack of accountability across all elected positions have inspired her to run for office.
Mrs. Reyes attended NHPS, graduating from Wilbur Cross in 1990 and represented New Haven in the Miss Puerto Rico Pageant the same year. She continued her education by earning a BS in Social Sciences from Albertus Magnus.
Reyes has dedicated her life to Social Services by working for New Haven Home Recovery, the NHHD, and with the Nurturing Families Program. Reye’s entire career has focused on the plight of the homeless and women and children, especially pediatrics and maternal care.
When elected, Reyes will most certainly be an asset to New Haven and provide needed leadership to the Board of Alders.
