NEW HAVEN REPUBLICAN JOHN CARLSON ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR ALDER IN WARD 6

· Press Release,Alder,Ward 6,2021 Elections

NHRTC is happy to announce that John Carlson is campaigning for Alder in Ward 6.  Carlson was born and raised in the city and has been an advocate for Ward 6 for years; reopening a long closed Little League, petitioning the city for, and getting, permit parking and speed humps, getting Portsea Street repaved, and called attention to the numerous sidewalks and streets that need to be repaired or replaced.

Mr. Carlson attended K-8 school in New Haven and majored in Carpentry at Eli Whitney High School in Hamden.  He went on to Gateway Community College and Southern Connecticut State University to earn degrees in History and Education.  Prior to becoming a teacher, he worked in construction, various manufacturing facilities, and with incarcerated youth.  Carlson also held his Real Estate Sales License for over 20 years.

Carlson has a wide range of work experience, cares deeply about the city, and has over 20 years’ experience as an inner-city classroom teacher.  The Board of Alders needs a member with varied life and work experiences and we hope voters will make the right choice this November!
